This course is recommended for all law enforcement officers that use a digital single lens reflex (DSLR) or mirrorless camera to document evidence at crime and accident scenes that may lead to the prosecution and conviction of offenders. This course will prepare an officer to (1) confidently use a DSLR at a crime or accident scene, (2) to understand the settings and controls on their assigned camera, (3) to understand under what circumstances specific settings should be used, and (4) to establish a system to protect digital image integrity and successfully manage potential courtroom challenges.
This class is designed to help the officer learn how to effectively use their digital camera; this course does not include crime or accident scene techniques.
This class is not appropriate for those using only a point-and-shoot digital camera.
